Mondays

Yes it is Monday, and the last Monday of the month at that. Monday seems to be the worst day of the week for the majority of people, especially where I work. I view Monday as a challenge that needs to be tackled and taken head on. Sure I could be like the rest of the people and not want to go in or call in and leave my boss in a bind but I don't. I choose to face the day with a positive attitude.

Like today, I woke up before my usual time to be ready to go to work and hour early. On my way out to my ride I slipped on the ice in my parking lot and went down hard. I mean it was so bad that my lunch box broke and the orange I had packed turned to juice. I just picked myself up, got in the car, and went to work.

That's just the first of it. I finally get to work and like usual half the crew is missing on Monday, giving my boss a really hard time to keep everything moving smoothly. Of the few of us that were there even fewer were in chipper moods. People were snippy and grumpy and complaining all day long. Still I did my job with a smile and whatever my boss needed I did. My positivity seemed to keep people going because when I talked to my co-workers or helped them out they were a little less grumpy afterward. I ended up putting in 11 hours today and still left in a good mood. My job isn't easy to do either.

I'm not saying I don't have bad Mondays, because I do. I just try to make the best of a bad situation when I do have bad Mondays, or any bad day for that matter. Moral of the story? Eh you decide. Happy Reading!

Mistakes

So what happened? Ah yes in light of the possible publication of Journey for Sol I decided to remove it from my blog. Sorry readers, but I thought it was necessary. Anyway, I forgot that a lot of my revisions I did in the blog itself and didn't save them to my original manuscript.

I had deleted the entire book from my blog when I realized this. Most of the changes were little, like cutting out unnecessary descriptions. There was one chapter, however, that got almost completely revised and I forgot to save it. Now I'm doing it from memory and I feel so dumb. In short I'm totally agreeing with the cat on this one. Happy Reading!

Yay

Well what can I say? Check your emails often readers. That's what I have to say. I know I don't check mine regularly because it's mostly junk and rejection letters. Tonight though I thought I would do a little clean up of my inbox before bed. Sure there was the usual suspects, bill notifications, pill offers for fixing body parts I don't have, and even one rejection letter.

There was one piece of good news. I got an acceptance letter from a publishing company interested in the second installment of Crystal Chronicles. It took me a minute to recognize what it was because it was clear back in September that I contacted this company. I couldn't remember which book I had submitted to them it had been so long.

I'm so excited I would be screaming at the top of my lungs and dancing through my apartment. Unfortunately I've been up since three A.M. and it's now what we call quiet time at our complex. Moral of the story? Check your email often, you never know when good news will crop up amid the junk. Happy reading!

Life is tough

That pretty much sums up everything I have to say for the next few days. I am working on a new project and you'll know when it's finished dear readers. Until then, enjoy the quotes and random facts.
